Pradosh Vrat or Pradosham both are same thing, generally Pradosh Vrat is known in North India and Pradosham is known in South India. Pradosh Vrat is celebrated to get blessings from Lord Shiva. It is done on both Trayodashi Tithis (13) in a lunar month means Shukla Paksha Trayodashi and Krishna Paksha Trayodashi. There are total 24 Pradosh Vrat in each year.

If Pradosham comes on Monday it is called Soma Pradosham, if comes on Tuesday then it is called Bhauma Pradosham and if comes on Saturday then it is called as Shani Pradosham. On this day peoples does fast, worship of Lord Shiva, pray to god for their dreams or wishes and get success in all at last.

• Pradosham (Pradosh Kaal) is the duration of 2 hours 24 minutes after the sunset. Pradosh Kaal may varies from one region to another region.
• Pradosham means removing the sins or Doshas (Problems).
